QuizQ is a learning app that generates quizzes from study materials (text, links, PDFs, images) and tracks your progress. This Privacy Policy applies to the QuizQ mobile app and related services.
1. What information we collect
1.1 Account & authentication
- Email login: your email address (and any profile details you choose to add).
- Google login: basic Google profile information and a Google account identifier needed to authenticate you.
1.2 Content you submit
When you generate a quiz, you may submit:
- Text you type/paste
- Links/URLs you enter
- Files you upload (such as PDFs or images)
We process this content to generate quiz questions and explanations.
1.3 Quiz usage & progress
- Boards you create (e.g., title, description)
- Generated questions and explanations
- Your answers, scores, and progress history
1.4 Technical, security, and logs
- Device and app information (device type, OS version, app version, language)
- Security logs to help protect accounts and prevent abuse
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate you and manage your account
- Provide core features: quiz generation, saving boards, results, explanations, and progress tracking
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Troubleshoot and provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI processing (OpenAI)
QuizQ uses the OpenAI API to generate quiz questions and explanations. To do this, we may send the content you submit (such as text, extracted text from PDFs/images, or URL content you provide) to OpenAI for processing.
- We use this processing to provide the quiz generation feature.
- We do not sell your personal information.
4. Where your data is processed and stored
QuizQ uses the following providers to operate the service:
- AWS (backend hosting)
- Aiven PostgreSQL (cloud database)
- OpenAI (AI processing as described above)
These services may process data in regions outside your country. We take reasonable steps to protect data during international transfers.
5. Sharing of information
We may share information only:
- With service providers that help us run QuizQ (hosting, database, AI processing)
- For legal/safety reasons (e.g., to comply with law or protect users)
- In a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), with appropriate notice where required
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data as long as needed to provide the service (for example, to keep your boards and progress available), or as required for security and legal reasons.
Account deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing info@stavicq.com.
We may retain limited information if necessary to comply with legal obligations or prevent fraud and abuse.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
QuizQ is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us at info@stavicq.com.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of your data. To request this, email info@stavicq.com.
